In the heart of Chile’s first marine park, right in the current of the Strait of Magellan flowing from the Pacific Ocean, diverse water masses converge, including tides that connect the Atlantic with the Pacific and channels fed by glacial meltwater. This phenomenon makes the area one of the richest in marine biodiversity at the southernmost tip of the planet.

For several days, you will travel by motorboat while spending at least two nights in an incredible camp with comfortable double domes. A simple journey, but one full of sensations, discoveries, and unforgettable memories.

[ITINERARY]
DAY 1 Between 7:00 and 8:00 AM, we will pick up passengers at their accommodations to head to Punta Carrera, 50 km from Punta Arenas. We will sail for about 8 hours through the Strait of Magellan until we arrive at the Ecocamp in the afternoon, where we will make our first observations of humpback whales.
DAY 2 Hearing the whales’ blows at night and watching the sunrise with whales is an exciting experience. During the day, we will focus on whale watching, exploring the marine park and surrounding areas, including Bárbara Channel and the ice fields of Santa Inés Island in Kawésqar National Park. We will also see albatrosses, petrels, sea lion colonies, and cormorants.
DAY 3 After a leisurely breakfast, we will return to Punta Arenas sailing through the Strait of Magellan. We will make final cetacean observations and visit a colony of Magellanic penguins. Then we will sail around Cape Froward before continuing back to Punta Arenas.
