Esperanza Ferry [Pto. Natales - Pto. Montt]

The Navimag experience invites you to contemplate, as silent witnesses, the intense marine and wildlife of whales, dolphins and birds in their extreme and natural habitat.
On its journey, the ferry skirts most of the coast of Bernardo O'Higgins National Park, one of the reserves that shelters the largest population of huemul deer in South America, while navigating the Patagonian fjords between Puerto Montt and Puerto Natales. In its evergreen forest territory there are also 49 glaciers that are part of Chile's Southern Ice Field.
 
PUERTO NATALES – PUERTO MONTT ROUTE
 
Day 1 PUERTO NATALES - PASO KIRKE
During check-in, our staff will take your luggage into custody, which each passenger must pick up when boarding. In case of traveling with a vehicle, they will give you the necessary information to guide you through the process. We will depart from Puerto Natales toward the Golfo Almirante Montt and Continue towards Paso Kirke anda Canal Morla Vicuña.
 
Day 2 PUERTO EDÉN - BAJO COTOPAXI
The ferry sails through the Morla Vicuña, Unión Pass, Farquar, Sarmiento, Angostura channels. Then the ferry passes by Puerto Eden, where the last remaining population of Kaweskar indigenous people in Chile lives. The town is located on Wellington Island, one of the largest in the country and part of the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park. The vessel continues north, passing through the Angostura Inglesa, a slim pass that allows one ship to navigate it at a time. Then into the Messier Channel, home to the cargo ship Capitan Leonidas, stranded there since the 70s on a semi submerged islet called Bajo Cotopaxi.
 
Day 3 GULF OF PENAS - MORALEDA CHANNEL
The ferry starts open sea navigation in the area of the Gulf of Penas. This journey lasts approximately 12 hours. Here, it is possible to see Humpback, Minke, and Blue whales. After sail the Oceanic Area the ferry enters the Chacabuco channel and then the Errázuriz Channel. Finally, the vessel enters through the Moraleda Channel and then take the Chonos archipelago route to Puerto Montt.
 
Day 4 PUERTO MONTT
In our voyage north, the ferry sails the Gulf of Corcovado, then the Apiao Channel, the Gulf of Ancud, and the Reloncavi pass, arriving at its destination, Puerto Montt in the morning ending your Patagonian experience.
